FT with a home gym? - ZachM - 12-11-2018 Excited to be part of the forums! I have read FT and am curious if I can make it work with my home gym setup or if there is another program you would recommend instead if it won't work well with what I have. Also, I would categorize myself as an intermediate. I have been lifting a long time, but have battled digestive issues that have prevented me from eating/absorbing enough, but am getting that sorted out and plan to use this to gain weight. Here is what I have: Squat rack and barbell with plates Adjustable dumbbells Smith machine Adjustable bench with attached leg extension/leg curl 45 degree hyper Cable machine with high and low single pulleys Bands Is this enough? I am considering buying a leg press, but maybe I have enough? If I was to add something, what would be helpful? Thanks for any help/guidance you can provide! RE: FT with a home gym? - Altamir - 12-11-2018 You've got enough bare minimum to get going. As long as you are willing to get creative you can certainly make it work. There are a lot of variations and things you can do. We've got some pretty knowledgeable guys and gals here that can help if you get stuck. I have a home gym and have run FT there a number of times. I just picked up and used a combo leg press / hack squat for my home gym. I think that would be a GREAT addition, more so that just a leg press. But you are pretty well rounded. Let us know specific things you think you might have trouble with. RE: FT with a home gym? - Scott Stevenson - 12-11-2018 Zach, I would also do a search for "home gym" here on the site. This one's been covered before... -S |
