Pump Set Help - Beast9434 - 06-06-2023 Hi all, Just looking for some help with pump sets please. I understand that they are auto regulated etc and great opportunities to work on weak points and form but I always just feel a bit stuck on what to do for the best. What have you guys found works best? Do many of you just do high rep straight sets? Is there a particular pump set technique, outlined in the book, that you have had better results from (I appreciate different ones will work better person to person but I'm just curious). I do love 5's in the hole but they are barbaric!! Looking forward to hearing back from you. Thanks RE: Pump Set Help - volkansazan - 06-30-2023 Hey man, For me I start with normal rep tempo e.g. 2 Sec - Eccentric, 1 Sec Concentric. When the pump and burning start, I start to increase TUT. I use 5 Sec - Eccentric, 1 Sec Concentric. Then I start to mix them with 5 Sec Iso hold at Concentric then switch to 5 Sec Iso hold at eccentric and transition between these stages. This system especially works best with all cable exercises for Chest - Shoulders - Back and Arms. Moreover for legs, Leg Extensions and Curls are also good candidates. Hope this helps |
