Workout day scheduled
#1
My workouts generally have to occur Mon-Fri because of work. I have been following the Mon, Wed, Fri routine but would like to step up to the Basic version. Do you think a Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri split would be grouped too tightly? Thanks

I've been doing Mon, Tues, Thurs, Fri split since starting FT and it works out fine for me. I think its ok as long as you could recover and don't do 3 days in a row.

I'd say it's not ideal, but if you rest and eat up on the weekends, it can be done of course. You might need to drop down a Tier or autoregulate your Tiers as you go along a bit differently (than if you were utilizing a weekend day for training).

I've learned over the years that I do better with lower volume so I doubt I would go past Tier II very often. If it turns out to be too much, I can go back to the three day schedule and alternate between upper and lower body focus just like DC alternates.

Sounds like a plan!

This is a mistake I made in my previous blast. I trained M, T, Th,F, and took the weekends off. By Tuesday I felt SUPER drained, like no amount of carb intake post workout made me feel replenished, but I trudged along like the babboon I am.

Makes so much sense to separate the two loading days as you're basically training your whole body on those days. Going to try M,W,F,S now.

I've decided to stay with the three day routine for now. My legs don't seem to be lagging and they've always grown with most anything I do for them as long as it's extremely heavy. I'll move on to the basic version at some point when my work isn't so hectic.

Hey Scott!

What do you think woul be the ideal split by days?

on on off on off on off?

I know you mentioned in the book to keep away Lower loading and Lower MR seperate in days (same with upper) so would:

Upper load, lower load, off, upper MR, off, lower MR, off be a suggested layout?

Only you know your ideal.

Best for most is:

Load Off Load Off MR MR Off

(You can do either Days 1, 2, 3, 4 in order or Days 2, 1, 4, 3.)
