Help Essential oils 101

I'd go to New Life Health Center and speak with them. They have business cards for a number of practitioners there in town who specialize in various forms of alternative therapies.

The Young Living brand of essential oils (and their diffusers) are a good place to start. (Their online guide will help you find what you might like.)

I'd not expect essential oils in and of themselves to be a primary driving force in promoting fat loss or elevating metabolism, but the oils can help with relaxation, ease in falling asleep, have anti-microbial effects, etc. (E.g.. if you're dieting and have trouble sleeping, the oils could help with that.)

Alexander - BC's asking about oils derived from various plants that are used in small amounts for medicinal purposes, rather than dietary oils used in larger amounts that contribute significantly to one's macronutrient intake.

I just got back from New Life and although I did not get one of their diffusers, or oils, I did get a blend of flower essences to help with joint pain and muscles. My shoulders have been an issue back to my puberty years; MULTIPLE subluxations in both shoulders. Lately, my left has been the bane of my existence.

Anyway, back to what I bought. The brand name is Siddha cell salts and flower essences. I did speak to an employee, Jawana Cox.
Active Ingredients:
Calc Fluor 12x
Calc Phos 12x
Holly 5x
Hornbeam 5x
Kali Sulph 6x
Mag Phos 12x
Nat Phos 6x
Nat Sulph 6x
Oak 5x
Silicea 12x

Inactives:
Comfrey
Dandelion
Four Leaf Clover
Pear
Red Ginger
Rose of Sharon
Scarlet Fritillary
Sour Grass
Strawberry

Uses:
Pain in back in extremities
Inflamation of joints
Swelling around tendons and joints
Pain in limbs

I had been going to ATI Physical therapy for numbness in my ring/pinky fingers on both hands. We tried stretches of the neck, shoulder joint and traction (6-10lbs) for four weeks.

Although the numbness issue was greatly improved, shoulder pain improvement was minimal at best. Let's see if this stuff helps, hell it could be a placebo, I don't care. I just want my shoulders to stop feeling like they are swimming and start to feel stable again.
