Adjusting diet when switching to 3 day Family Man plan
#1
I'm in a growth phase right now, but due to some circumstances I'm going to be switching from a 4 day a week to a 3 day a week. I Follow the diet outlined in the book, only taking in carbs intra and post workout. What would be the best method for replacing the missing day of carbs? I'm thinking either adding a carb meal 2 hours before the intra, or possibly taking in A carb meal for breakfast the next morning. Would one have a advantage over the other?

Just wanted to add that I lift in the afternoon, so I don't have enough time to just add a 4th carb meal after workout.

Sounds like you have plenty of room to add food to the post-workout meals, so I'd just do that (making them larger, but not adding a 4th meal, as you haven't got enough time in the day for that).

For now, as a starting place, you could take the carbs (and increased kcal, I presume) you'd normally be having on that 4th day of training and put 1/3 of that each into the post-WO meals you have on the three days you're training now. Smile

Makes sense. I'll just have to channel my inner Joey Chestnut and cram more in a short time. Thanks Scott
