Knee friendly FT
#21
So, my little patella knee strap came Wednesday. I wore it for a bit yesterday but wasn't doing anything that aggravates it so it was more to see how the strap itself felt. I couldn't even tell it was there. But at one point I was squatting down and felt a tiny pop in the knee I was wearing it on. No pain, more like a cracking of the knuckles type of thing.

Today I had to do quite a bit of driving and carry about 15 50 pound boxes up two flights of stairs for my aunt. The type of thing that does aggravate my knee. Mostly going down the stairs. Same thing happened today. The little pop.
But throughout the day, and continuing now, no pain or discomfort whatsoever.
Who would of thought this tiny little strap would actually make such a difference. I wish I had it when I went and saw "Revenant" on Sunday.

I ordered from Amazon and without even noticing it the particular company ships from Hong Kong. So that's on it's way. I ordered a three pack of the oil from another company yesterday and it just got here! So now I'm in no rush to get the one I originally ordered.

LOL - I've done the same things (at least once)!

The other KW oil will be put to use, I'm sure. (By yourself or a friend in need! Smile )

I put some on my knee and really liked it. I also put some under my nose and cleared my sinuses from this never ending cold right away!

This sealed the deal I just ordered some of the oil. I'm always having problems with my elbows and knees so hell worth a shot. And clearing the sinus is an added bonus. Not to hijack the thread but that's a major part of the appeal of FT for me. Getting the most out of the least. My high volume routines have always produced results but after a couple weeks my elbows and knees start to scream at me. I'm hoping the lower volume and increased frequency can help with some of these pain issues.

I ordered too! I have quite a bit of elbow irritation and other old age aches. Looking forward to trying!

Excellent. There's not sneaking up on someone downwind from you with this stuff on, that's for sure!

A lot of folks see reduced joint pain with FT, which (also) comes in part from wisely choosing exercises for the Muscle Rounds and Pump sets that don't cause irritation.

If you're training a muscle group once every 5-7 days, the tendency can be to want to do (all) your regular, go to exercises, even if they perpetuate an overuse issue. You simply work around these on a day to day basis with FT. (This goes for Loading sets, too, IMO, even though they follow a pre-planned rotation. Changing them out on the fly makes perfect sense when it's clear that particular exercise is a no-go for the day.)

Don't be afraid to mix your tier levels with upper and lower. There are times when I am on tier 3 upper and tier 1 lower for the very same reason.

Yes I have done the same too. I have also on a few occasions skipped pump set for lower body, to give my knee a break before the MR for lower body.
