Does anyone know if it is safe to combine berberine with finesteride? I've heard that berberine inhibits the liver enzyme that metabolizes finesteride so it's something of a concern.

CYP3A4 seems to be the enzyme in question and there is concern for interaction and both finateride and berberine are metabolized by this enzyme:
