About stretch
#1
Hi forum, I'm looking for some stretching ideas.

I Got the FT Ebook and the Virgin Voyage, but I'm looking for something more specific about the various positions of the various types of stretch.

Do you have any useful links?

In no show, no go! can I find something more specific?

Tnx

Search DC stretches, you'll find some pics to help you.

What specifically are you looking for?... (Saying you want something specific doesn't specify. It's like asking someone to provide you with exactly what you want, but not naming it.)

Sorry, but the fact that English is not my mother tongue does not allow me the utmost clarity.
Yesterday I read that article, it was very useful. I was looking for some other position for occlusion stretch and loaded stretch, and in the article I found them.

No worries! (I'm SURE I your English is better than whatever, which is likely nothing, of your mother tongue I can speak. Smile )

Glad you got your answer!

(If interesting, it would be cool to share what you figured out... Smile )

I'd like to know what you figured out too, or how its working for you. I tend to do a lot of the same stretches and should probably vary this a bit more.

I personally never see anyone stretching at my gym, meanwhile I'm cringing in agony with a thigh pump stretching my quads in the sissy squat position. biggrin

LOL. Among other strangeness, today I had people talking to me at the gym while stretching on 3-4 occasions.

No one thinks much of stretching whatsoever, in most gyms. It's equivalent to standing around gazing across the gym, i.e., you're not doing anything.

(The bizarre part is that folks so often don't seem to notice that you're writhing in agony and that perhaps you're not available to chit chat... Sad This can even be true at a gym that is full of folks who train hard...)

LOL, I can try it, but I do not know what will be the result of my exposure

Most of my doubts were on the occlusion stretching. Flexibility stretch is pretty istinctive, and the loaded stretchis no new to my by my past DC experience.

The concept I did not understand was that of light isometric. Should I look for the maximum stretch possible or contract the muscle in the lengthened portion?

The example that comes to my mind is the calves: Do I seek for the maximum stretch by coming up to contract the tibialis' muscle to emphasize the stretch?
Or do I have to reach the maximum stretch portion and contract my calves intentionally in this position?

I think the answer is the second example

I still apologize for the form, but this is the maximum I can do in English. I hope it's understandable.

geez that could get annoying I'm sure. Almost as bad as someone trying to chit chat mid muscle round like you mentioned before lol.
