I've looked into it fairly extensively and I think it might be related to my spleen qi (from what I can gather from my symptoms its a deficiency). I'm starting by reducing a lot of the cold foods from my diet and supplementing with astragalus. Do you have any recommendations of other minerals I can take? I'm a practicioner of the following brand and thought this might be an excellent addition to my protocol.

I'd not had have a hard time believing you have SP Qi Xu. (Other minerals?....)

That looks like a nice formula but only in that it would address someone whose pattern matches that treated there. The nausea and GERD for instance are indicative of ST Qi reversion, but this can caused by several thing (heat, Deficiney, liver overacting on stomach / "wood overacting on earth", damp/phlegm, etc.) so if you're not treating those the root issue may persist.

I'd have a strong suspicion on your case that there is Liver Qi stagnation. (I'm NOT going to try to diagnose you online - it's actually illegal - literally.) I mention that b/c that can be to root cause or a major contributor to SP Qi deficiency (in addition to diet and over thinking).

That's very interesting!! I did see that liver Qi stagnation can attribute to the spleen Qi deficiency - I had a friend of mine who's an osteopath in shanghi come and treat me, he said I was very 'cold' and needed to warm myself up.

Being a pharmacist and seeing sickness on a daily basis and how pills aren't the solution to many of my patients only makes me believe more and more in energy systems, they're ability to heal and how important the harmony of the body is to overall health!!

Take ti chi breathing for example - teach someone to breath properly and they'll be able to lose more weight, lift more, eat more, sleep better - the list goes on!!
